Policies & Payments

Our entire veterinary team understands you want what is in the best interest of your pet.  Sometimes the costs associated with these decisions can be difficult to understand.  After gathering the patient’s history and performing a physical examination, our veterinarians will provide you with a detailed treatment plan, which outlines the proposed diagnostics, treatments, and associated cost.  As with human medicine, veterinary medicine has had amazing advances which enables pets to live longer and receive much more sophisticated and complete care.  We aim to offer several different treatment plans which allows you to direct the level of care desired.

If your pet must be admitted (inpatient) and for elective procedures, we require the owner to pay the low end of the treatment plan as a deposit. The remainder of the charges are due when your pet is released.  In all instances, we make every effort to charge fair and reasonable fees.  For hospitalized patients, your veterinarian will update you daily with a progress report on your patient as well as your current charges and balance.  We encourage you to discuss payment methods and fees before services are performed.

We are often asked about “payment plans.”  We don’t have any in-house payment plans, but we do accept CareCredit.  You can apply for CareCredit online or at our hospital.  It is accepted at a variety of Veterinary, Dental, and Medical Practices.  CareCredit works just like a regular credit card, but without high-interest rates, annual fees*, or pre-payment penalties.

*For new accounts as of 5/30/24: Purchase APR is 32.99%; Penalty APR is 39.99%; Minimum Interest Charge is $2.

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. If you have any special considerations regarding payment, please discuss this with the receptionist prior to seeing the doctor.
