Covid Updates
June 1, 2021

We are excited to share some news – starting June 1st, we are thrilled to welcome pet parents back into the building for appointments!

We will attempt to streamline our flow and minimize time spent in our building, while still having owners present for the appointment.  Similar to our current protocol, we ask you to park and call us upon arrival.  When we are ready for your appointment, we will come and escort you inside the building to an exam room for the appointment.  We will continue to offer curbside service for clients as well.  To reduce numbers of people in the building, we ask that no more than 2 people accompany the pet into the building for the appointment.

We will follow the latest CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidance for our staff members and clients regarding mask usage.  Per CDC’s recommendations, fully vaccinated individuals can safely participate in indoor our outdoor activities without a face covering.  An individual is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson).  For anyone who is fully vaccinated, face coverings will not be required at Best Friends Animal Hospital.  Anyone who is not fully vaccinated must exercise personal responsibility, wear a face covering inside the building, practice social distancing, and frequently washing their hands.  Please note, we will continue to update our protocols based on any future recommendations of the CDC.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to clients for following our protocols and working together to keep our community safe and hospital open.   We kindly ask for patience as we make this change to allow clients inside while trying to make the experience as safe as possible for everyone!
