We’re growing—and we’re ready to add a surgeon to our thriving, progressive practice.

Best Friends Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our expanding, seven-doctor (and growing) team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a surgeon who wants to practice high-level medicine with advanced technology, exceptional clinical support, and real input into the future growth of the hospital.

A Surgical Playground (and It’s Still Growing)

Our AAHA-accredited hospital is fully equipped to support a wide range of advanced surgical procedures with dedicated, purpose-built spaces and cutting-edge technology, including:

Two dedicated surgery suites
32-slice helical CT
Ultrasound
Voyant Vessel Sealer & Electrocautery
Companion CRT system for PRP processing
Endoscopy
Fully equipped rehab room with an underwater treadmill

We regularly perform orthopedic procedures (TPLO, fracture repair, FHO), neurosurgery (hemilaminectomy), and advanced soft tissue surgeries, including cholecystectomy, median sternotomy, thoracotomy, and liver lobe resection.

Looking ahead, we aspire to add MRI capabilities and expand our STORZ endoscopy equipment to support laparoscopic surgery, thoracoscopy, arthroscopy, and beyond—guided by surgeon preferences and interests. Fully staffed with experienced doctors and a highly skilled technical team
24/7 doctor and support staff coverage
Doctor staffing until midnight, with plans to move to full 24/7 doctor coverage
No weekend or on-call requirements
(Though the ability to perform an emergent weekend surgery, if warranted, would be beneficial)

3- or 4-day workweek, based on surgeon preference
(3 × 12-hour shifts or 4 × 10-hour shifts)

Best Friends Animal Hospital is a seven-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice that recently expanded into a 12,000-square-foot, 10-exam-room facility.
